DRÄXLMAIER Language Award
Excellence in German
During my time at Clemson University, I was honored to receive the DRÄXLMAIER Language Award for Excellence in German, recognizing outstanding achievement in advanced German language and cultural studies. This award reflects not only academic performance, but also sustained engagement with German business, politics, and transatlantic relations throughout my undergraduate career. As someone raised between Germany and the United States, this recognition represents a meaningful connection between my academic work and my bicultural identity. It affirms my commitment to fostering strong German-American partnerships in business and policy.
German Professional Society
Co-founder
I co-founded the German Professionals Society at Clemson University to create a cross disciplinary space for students interested in Germany, international engagement, and professional networking. The organization brings together students from a wide range of majors including business, engineering, political science, and language studies who share an interest in German culture, industry, and transatlantic opportunities.
Our mission is both professional and social. We host networking events, speaker sessions, and community building gatherings that connect students with peers, alumni, and professionals connected to Germany. By helping relaunch and structure the organization, I worked to foster an inclusive environment that strengthens Clemson’s international community while building meaningful personal and professional connections.
LAIB CONFERENCES
I participated in the Language and International Business conferences in Greenville, which focus on global business strategy, international trade, and cross-cultural management. The conference brought together students, executives, and industry professionals to discuss how companies operate across borders and adapt to global markets.
Through these events, I gained exposure to real-world perspectives on supply chains, multinational operations, and international expansion. Engaging with professionals working in globally oriented firms strengthened my understanding of how language skills and cultural competence translate into competitive advantages in international business. The experience reinforced my interest in working in transatlantic economic and corporate environments.
ALPHA CHI OMEGA
Philanthropy & community engagement
As a member of Alpha Chi Omega at Clemson University, I was actively involved in philanthropy centered on domestic violence awareness and prevention. Our chapter supported national and local initiatives aimed at education, advocacy, and survivor support. Through fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community outreach, I contributed to efforts that extended beyond campus and into the broader community. Being part of Alpha Chi Omega reinforced my belief that leadership includes social responsibility and advocacy for vulnerable communities.
